You know what’s really annoying? Driving along the Centenary highway. The speed limits are 100, 80, then 90. This does NOT mean that you drive at an average of 90 the whole way. It constantly amazes and confuddles me when people go at 90 in the 100 zone and then drive 90 in the 80 zone. It’s pretty retarded.

Then those other people who decided to go below the speed limit in the right lane. I’m not asking you to speed, I’m just asking you to go at least on the speed limit if you’re going to be blocking traffic. The worse is when two cars drive side by side at the same speed, 10km below the speed limit. Chill pills required.

Oh and another driving related rant, people need to learn how to turn and then change lanes. Sumner park roundabout people I’m looking at you. I know its strange and confusing, but you don’t actually have to turn left straight into the right lane! It’s true! You can actually turn left, go along a little bit and then go in the right lane! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, speed up when you reach the highway. It’s more dangerous to hit the highway a 60 if its 100. Plus you slow down traffic. Plus it’s easier to hit the highway at 100 since everyone would be going at the same speed and would adjust accordingly.

On a completely unrelated note, drugs are bad and you shouldn’t do them.

All the bookmarks I deleted in Safari a few weeks ago just reappeared?

I searched google and it didn’t seem like anyone else was getting this, it just seems like the weirdest bug.

Basically, this happens occasionally when I go into any other mailbox other than the main ‘inbox’ in mail and scroll. For example, on RSS feeds, I’d scroll down and it’d look like this:

You can see in that pic it kinda corrects if the pic goes off the screen.

Then I noticed it happened to the message list thing too!

Again, this happens in any window in mail except for the main inbox – so individual mail inboxes, rss, etc.

This will be the last instalment, kind of a wrap up because I’ve decided to stop playing Sims. It’s kinda boring after you have everything.

(Side note: I actually haven’t played for a week and all these screenshots were taken a while ago so I’m doing my best to remember what happened)

The Sims really has a snowball effect kind of thing happening with the gameplay. At first, things are hard and difficult to do (like getting girlfriends, money, etc) but then as you get more life goal things everything gets so much easier.

I mean, it just became way too easy and repetitive to meet Simgirls and have children.

After my 10th girlfriend (fulfilling my life wish), I decided it was kinda boring, so I thought I’d marry the 10th one and throw a sexy party.

But then the game crashed so I had to go back again. This time I decided that the marriage path was not the way to go and decided to just get her pregnant and hang out with her as a GF instead.

We were good parents.

But eventually I decided that I didn’t really want to stay around and be a dad to this child, so I left.

At this point, I had almost everything. It didn’t matter anyway, as I had the Moodlet Generator thing or whatever it’s called and never had to sleep, eat, pee or anything. Things got boring.

So I decided to go fishing permanently.

I got bored and stopped playing the sims.

Lately I’ve been trying this system of thinking.

Basically, the aim is to clear out a lot of the neurotic shit I’ve been thinking lately ie “ROMG does she like me?!?!” and not worrying about things that I can’t control. And then only worrying about things that I CAN control.

Working out pretty well so far. Though there’s a lot of empty space in my head now where the thoughts used to be. Don’t know what to do about that. I should fill that space with fantasies about Miranda Kerr.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I thought I wouldn’t have much to write after that last one as I thought anything interesting that would’ve happened had happened already.

Oh how wrong I was. It’s surprising how much you can do in a 2 hour session at night.

So Matt wakes up and goes to the park for his usual daily routine of playing guitar/girls and guess who he sees?

Being excited that I could so quickly find the girl that got away, I immediately focused all my resources on her. We hit it off well and pretty soon I had her breaking up with her boy… again.

She had the same problem as the previous girlfriend (what’s her name again… oh Tamara) where she wouldn’t come over but eventually I got her to meet me out, and from there we went back to my bachelor pad.

But oh no! She resists my advances. Eventually Matt gets tired and just decides to go to sleep. And what does she do? She plays video games!

At this point I got sick of her flaking and disappearing, so I decided to do some housework. But as I was working, I saw this girl jog past my house and I just had to approach her.

Take that, daygame gurus.

That’s right. He had to run after her and stop her and he managed to pull it off. After flirting for a few minutes, it’s off to Club Matt!

Of course, straight after we woke up in the morning, I broke up with her.

But as I was trying to smooth things over, somehow we ended up being a couple again?!

So I broke up with her a second time.

Matt 2.0. The new, better informed creation of my sims character. Now with a better selection of traits and a purpose-built life.

And now, we continue on from the first story…

Zelda. She was blonde, beautiful and Matt’s lifetime wish was to have 10 girlfriends. Early on, in the creation of Matt 2.0 I had decided that this wasn’t really a hard goal, and added on a few of my own wishes too. For example, I want Matt to have skills in everything, lifetime wishes for everything and well… 100 babies. That’s right. I want to own this town. OWN!!!

She was the beginning.

1.) Zelda

So Matt had a pretty common “routine” with getting through his life goal. He’d meet the girls from playing guitar in the park, flirt with them a bit, invite them over and then ‘WooHoo’ with them. And then after that he’d ask them to go exclusive, and ‘Try for Baby’ about 10 times. After he got sick of trying for this elusive (not really) baby, he’d immediately break up with them, kick them out, and then go go sleep.

2.) Madison

One day, Matt was in the park when he met this woman, Pauline. Now the routine that Matt did wasn’t perfect – sometimes the sims he flirted with had partners or whatever and would respond negatively to the flirting. Pauline didn’t. In fact, Matt was able to take her home one the first day for a bit of WooHoo, after which he convinced her to break up with her boyfriend and become exclusive with him.

3.) Pauline

Unfortunately, as I transformed my desktop back into laptop mode, something glitched over and I couldn’t save the game before it crashed, losing my progress. Which kinda sucked.

I did everything exactly the same when I got it back up and running but I couldn’t find Pauline. I was sad. But then, after playing some more guitar and achieving my “Celebrity Status Charisma Challenge” reward (which makes everyone my friend when I meet them), Matt met Tamara.

Now Tamara was a strange one. Matt had caught her eye as he played guitar in the park and instantly hit it off with her. They made out in the park (due to his “Great Kisser” attribute), agreed to go exclusive and then he tried to take her home, which she agreed to… but then as soon as they got home, she disappeared! What happened?!

Then this continually played out:

I would invite her over and she’d agree. But then, immediately after…

She’d flake!

After wasting like 2 sim days on this (using the meantime to meet other sims and build up so I can get my next charisma challenge prize), I decided to go see where she lived and find out why she wouldn’t come over.

Well, immediately after arriving, I figured out the answer: she was still young and lived with her parents/family or something:

In a MASSIVE house!

So I decided to play it a different way. I stayed at her place and tried for the WooHoo there, but halfway through my first attempt, she got up and had to work! Which sucked.

But I waited. And waited. And learnt how to make toilets self cleaning. But then she finally came home and…

3.1.) Tamara

Boom.

But as I got out of bed and broke up with her, I discovered that she had the “Hot-Headed” trait and was angry!

Uh oh
