People Hate Me.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:33 pm

In the last week I’ve had several people pretty angry at me for some reason.

For example, on Friday afternoon…

I was on my way to KFC (which, by the way I haven’t eaten for over a month…) when I came across some road works. Now, this was one of the cases where they had get the cars to switch lanes, so there’s usually one guy standing in the middle who stops you and then directs you where to go. This guy wasn’t there. He was standing on the opposite side of the road having a bit of a chat time with another worker.

What was I to do? With no guidance from the traffic gods (and being the first time I had ever gone through this site) I just kept going. Lazy traffic guy, upon seeing this runs towards my cars yelling what I can only imagine as obscenities (seeing my windows were up and I couldn’t hear him) as I kept driving to the restaurant of delights.

At this point I was feeling pretty bad… Really, I didn’t mean to be a dick to the guy. So I planned it out. When I was driving through the second time, I would go really slow, check out the entire situation and make sure everything was right.

So I stopped at the sign (held by another dude). Then I went, really slow to the next point where Lazy traffic guy was. But surprise, surprise he’s talking to someone and not directing traffic. Which resulted in him not directing me to the right lane, which resulted in him being angry and running after my car yelling obscenities again.

What a retard.

That was one of the guys who were angry at me…

Another one is in an even more retarded situation.

A few months ago my mates and I had a bit of fun and made a short film with video footage in the clubs. This was before I started to make ‘monthly’ videos (of which I haven’t released for a while*) and this was only posted in a private group and not made public. This random guy who I’ve never met before joins this group and sees the video. He requests I take it down, which I ignore because I was in class and soon forgot about it.

Days later, one of the girls in the video comes up to me and asks me about it which annoys me because as I said before, this was a private group. But that’s irrelevant. Long story short, he pissed off the wrong guy (not me), and got kicked out of said group and turned on his hulk angry mode. I mean, who the hell cares so much about things that happen over the internet?

So last night the girl comes up to me again and shows me his texts in which he shows his true colors – I’m not going to repeat any of it but damn. Do violent tendencies get you girls? Apparently it does, because the girl thanked me for posting the video which got him to respond like this. I mean, not that she hates me, its that he cares for her a lot. Clearly, I am Cupid.

I’d write more about people being angry at me but the rest of the stories are much more dangerous to talk about… especially on the world wide tubes. Strange week. And I honestly tried to do everything I could to not annoy people. Maybe next time I should just give in ’cause it’d result in the same anyway…

Stupid Questions

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:41 pm

You forget a lot of things in a year. For example, I forgot what it was like to have to listen to stupid questions in class. Particularly from uh, the older students. See, in undergrad, you don’t really have that many older students around so there it isn’t too annoying. In postgrad… almost everyone is an older student.

Add onto that the phenomenon where people want to appear smart/stand out in class by asking questions.

The result: People wasting my time by asking stupid questions that A.) the answers can be logically deducted by an understanding of what was actually in the lecture and B.) require ridiculously long answers. Last week I had a class that went almost 20 minutes over because of this. Why can’t they just go up and ask the lecturer these questions after class instead of wasting my time?

It also annoys me when people ask me stupid questions on MSN. For example, asking what time an event (that’s been posted on facebook) is on. I may be wrong, but if you’re on MSN, then you probably have access to the internet. If you have access to the internet, you could probably find that shit out for yourself. This kind of applies to things that you can google up as well.

That’s all I had to rant about really.

I’ll close with a quote.

“I’ve learned that it’s important to be beautiful to people. That all that matters is that you’re lovely to the people around you and to the people that you meet. It doesn’t matter if you’re a bit of a showoff, if you’re a little bit vain as long as you’re good to your mum and that you’re kind and that you’re lovely. And that everything is transient and superficial. And to not to get attached to material things because you’re gonna lose it all. And the only thing that is constant is love. This is what I’ve learned.” – Russell Brand (I got this off an interview he did on youtube, so I fixed up some of his abbreviations etc).

New Goals and Plans

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:51 am

Did fairly well last time I set goals (ie Project Matt 2.0) so I will set new goals now, for the next few months.

So I will set these goals for the first term.

1. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT – work on assignments every day. I don’t care if it’s just a little bit or a full session, a little bit a day is a good start. As with any goal I set for Matt 2.0 etc, this goal is aimed at contradicting past behaviours, which in this case would be not working on any assignments until 2 or 3 days before it was due. I’ve already started doing this and I’m fairly happy with it.

2. Work on a side project every day. I keep talking about how I’ll hate it when I get out of uni and start working a 9-5 yet I don’t do a single thing about it. So every day I will work on a side project and start launching it by the end of this term.

3. Eat healthier. For some reason, when I look after my own diet (buy my own food, cook my own meals) I always manage a better diet and feel a lot better. For example, in Melbourne I ate plenty of salads, and other shit, but a lot of it wasn’t junk. This made me feel good. Diet at home is full of junk because the junk is there and I just eat.

4. Read at least one book. With uni and stuff this is hard, so I’m putting it fourth.

This is it for the while, keeping the list small to create the focus.

Iphonicised

In which things things have been made to look or feel ‘iPhone-like’.

For example, “The new facebook looks iphonicised.”
