Went for run. Was hard. Was too tired to do the whole route so cut it a little short.

Going out later beginning OSM. For those who know, OSM will be massive.

Good times~

Tired, but feel good for taking action.

Stupid Jury Duty

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:31 am

So this jury duty thing that I may or may not have to attend is really pissing me off right now. I don’t know for certain whether I actually have to attend jury duty or not until December 15th, yet I want to plan my trip now. If I don’t have to attend, then by that time, tickets will have probably sold out or flights will be much more expensive. If I do have to attend, I might not even be able to go on this trip.

Thanks Australia, you have failed me.

Meanwhile, checking prices, it’s around 50$ cheaper to go to Adelaide than to go to Melbourne. However, I’m not too sure how good the night life is at Adelaide. I do know the girls are pretty hot though.

Bah, problems, problems. Maybe I’ll have to shorten the trip… HOPEFULLY at worst, I’ll just have to make it the last two weeks before I start Uni 2.0, which wouldn’t be too bad.

Starting light

Read a chapter of Fountainhead, played piano and then went for a run.

Didn’t realise how unfit I became.

Also decided to add ‘~20 approaches a week’ to the list of things to do. That will make this much more challenging.

Though at the same time, none of this should really be that hard. I mean, really, running 3 times a week, reading books and then approaching 5 girls a night every night I’m out is really piss easy. Yet why does it seem so hard to do normally?

Goals before I start Uni 2.0

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:50 pm

Become Matt 2.0
- Run at least 3 times a week
- Work out – find personal trainer?
- Read at least 3 new books
- Social Intelligence (need to finish)
-
-
- Stop getting excessively drunk all the time, also known as, stop buying alcohol for myself
- Rite of passage times. Two weeks, different city – wherever I decide to go for this, I will be alone.
- Spend more time away from the computer – done by working out, playing piano, reading books – back to the core

Notes
- Spending all potential BC money to do this – Gym membership/personal trainer if needed, home equipment, books, etc. BC will be a WHOLE LOT BETTER if I sort this stuff out BEFORE I do it. The magic pill isn’t BC, it’s the sorting out of life.
- Uni starts on the Second of March, 2009. If this isn’t done by then, I suck.

When I mention something, it doesn’t mean I want you to help.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:17 am

Here’s a typical situation I get whenever I try to talk to people about things:

Example 1
Me: Man I hate my job all I do is sit around and call people who hate me.
Person I’m talking to: Oh wow so you should look here and here and here for a new job, actually lets go out next week to get a new job.

Example 2
Me: You know what, I’m kinda bored.
Person I’m talking to: You should do this or this, take up this hobby, try this new thing, whatever.

Lets see. Here is the one and only reason that I will ever talk to anyone about something. Wait for it. Ok, here it is:

I just want to talk about it.

When I mention things, I’m not looking for suggestions. If I wanted suggestions on what to do, I’d ASK. Why do people constantly throw suggestions at my way when I’m just trying to vibe in a conversation? Do they not know that their opinions do not matter to me at all?

That’s about all the rant I have at the moment.

Excerpt from The Fountainhead

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:01 pm

“What is it that I like so much about the house you’re building for me, Howard?”

“A house can have integrity, just like a person,” said Roark, “and just as seldom.”

“In what way?”

“Well, look at it. Every piece of it is there because the house needs it — and for no other reason. You see it from here as it is inside. The rooms in which you’ll live made the shape. The relation of masses was determined by the distribution of space within. The ornament was determined by the method of construction, an emphasis of the principle that makes it stand. You can see each stress, each support that meets it. Your own eyes go through a structural process when you look at the house, you can follow each step, you see it rise, you know what made it and why it stands. But you’ve seen buildings with columns that support nothing, with purposeless cornices, with pilasters, mouldings, false arches, false windows. You’ve seen buildings that look as if they contained a single large hall, they have solid columns and single, solid windows six floors high. But you enter and find six stories inside. Or buildings that contain a single hall, but with a facade cut up into floor lines, band courses, tiers of windows. Do you understand the difference? Your house is made by its own needs. Those others are made by the need to impress. The determining motive of your house is in the house. The determining motive of the other is in the audience.”
